Holly + Amie's California Lake Tahoe Adventure Elopement || California Adventure Elopement Photographer
Holly and Amie asked me to fly out to California for their adventure elopement and it was such an exciting experience to photograph the two of them at an overlook on Donner Pass Road that has a view of Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe.

Holly and I met in college at Middle Tennessee State University in 2007. Back then, I was minoring in photography and had no clue how photography would become such a huge part of my life. Luckily, Holly remembered me after all those years had gone by after college and asked me to photograph her and Amie’s elopement. If you know me, I LOVE to travel and of course, said yes because they are amazing people wanting to get married in an incredible location. It’s truly an honor to be trusted with a couple’s adventure elopement or wedding.
We made a plan for me to fly out a couple of days early so I could scout some locations, and I found the overlook at Donner Pass Road. Holly and Amie arrived within a couple of days, and I met them at the airport. We all hopped in a Jeep Renegade and made our way down the interstate toward the cabin they’ve rented. Suddenly, the Renegade started smoking and we had to pull over on the side of the interstate. What a way to start your adventure elopement weekend. We were all good sports about it and some friends of theirs came to pick us up. That was a first for me and had to document the moment. We made it to the cabin and then headed out to a dinner and bonfire.
The next day the cabin was buzzing with friends and family helping Amie and Holly get ready for their big day!
Holly and Amie were ready to go and we orchestrated a first look with Amie going up to the overlook first and Holly coming shortly after. It was such a sweet moment! Once that happened their friends and family made their way up for the ceremony to begin.
We adventured down to gorgeous Lake Tahoe before their reception and we had the best light and weather. I can’t thank Holly and Amie enough for trusting me with their adventure elopement. It was the best weekend.
